‘Empty Swimming Pool’ was premiered on the 24th of February 2020 via Atwood Magazine and recorded by Superblue Records. The band has been featured on buzzing Youtube channels like Fancy Melancholic and Sounds New Sounds Good. They have almost 140 000 streams across streaming platforms. Their debut track was listed as Track of the Week on Indie Rocks Radio Manchester, received numerous radio play Idobi Radio's "Anthm" playlist, as well as placement on Spotify’s ‘Hot New Bands’ Editorial Playlist.

The group has headlined well-known cities including Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Manchester. Their upcoming performances include Liverpool and Newcastle. Voodoo Bandits music is uptempo, dynamic and playful. Their musical inspirations are that of Circa Waves and Hockey Dad. Their overall sound sits closely with The Strokes, Car Seat Headrest , and Grouplove. Each member is on a varied stage of musical development, as some members picked up the guitar before highschool, early adolescents, and one member learned how to play the bass in recent years.

Voodoo bandits share more about the track, “I was creating many fast-paced indie rollercoasters in December 2019, and this one just stood out to us! It had a real uplifting feel and groove. We quickly added it to our set before our England debut that same week, and it has served us well as an attention-grabbing set opener since! I wrote the lyrics with my dog, which is probably why they don't make too much sense, but we both love the counter culture; and that is what this song is about. But, if that's not for you, alternatively it is about the blurry outcome of our decisions with symbolic imagery!"
